![]() It is the first hip-hop album from Nigeria to enter the Billboard World Albums Charts. His third album, 'Baba Hafusa' (2015) features guest verses from rappers Olamide, Phyno and Vector. Two singles from the album 'Eleniyan' and 'Daddy' became hits. Featuring sung and rapped verses in both Yoruba and English, 'Alaga Ibile' marked Reminisce's entry into the mainstream. Rapper Black IQ A.K.A Bini Boy who was the winner of Benson and hedges rhythm council in 2008 has teamed up with Reminisce on a hip hop track solely titled Turn it on. His tragic passing in 2010 left the reins of the paradigm shift he steered open. After collaborating with Edge Records Studios’ studio producer Sarz, he began recording the album in 2010. The debut album of Reminisce, ‘Book of Rap Stories,’ was released to the public on 31 March 2012. ![]() The album featured prominent artistes from Southwest Nigeria, Olamide, Davido and Wizkid principal among the collaborations. The 'Local Rapper' received critical acclaim while sticking to his roots, his album C.E.O signaled something new. He was rapping about real life, everyday mundane shit. Reminisce founded and served as the creative director of LRR Records and had a contract with Edge Records. In 2013, his sophomore 'Alaga Ibile' was released to widespread acceptance. The album produced 2 hit songs, 'Kako bii Chicken' and '2mussh', the first regarded as his breakout single, the latter cementing a newfound fame. That changed with his debut album, 'Book of Rap Stories' (2012). Little was heard from the rapper after his guest spot on singer 9ice's Gongo Aso album (2008). Born in Ogun State, rapper Reminisce is one of a trio of rappers at the forefront of Nigerian hip-hop employing local languages, the others being Olamide and Phyno.
